PIVOT MARKETING AGENCY ADDS ESPORTS TEAM ORGANIZATION, NRG TO PROPERTY ROSTER
WALNUT CREEK — PIVOT Marketing Agency (PIVOT) is representing esports team organization NRG, including its newly-formed competitive Overwatch team, the SF Shock. The PIVOT property team will assist in the growth and development of the SF Shock’s sponsorship portfolio.
Led by Co-Founders Andy Miller and Mark Mastrov, NRG’s leadership team includes influential figures from professional sports and pop culture such as Shaquille O’Neal, Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez. The NRG organization reaches millions of fans each month across its eight team rosters.

PIVOT will be leading initiatives to develop key sponsorship platforms and conduct outreach as the Overwatch League enters its inaugural season. PIVOT’s priority will be to evaluate and package the jersey naming rights for the team, similar to the recently popularized naming rights agreements of NBA (National Basketball Association) jersey patches.
Overwatch is one of the most popular team-based multiplayer games with over 35 million registered players. NRG’s Overwatch team, SF Shock, consists of nine players, including top players such as Jay “Sinatraa” Won who recently competed in the Overwatch World Cup at Blizzcon.
The Overwatch League is run by the interactive entertainment company Activision Blizzard, Inc. and falls under their Major League Gaming business umbrella. The Overwatch League currently consists of 12 competitive gaming teams internationally, who will compete against each other throughout the season for the championship title and $3.5 million in performance bonuses, including a $1 million team bonus for first place.
