PIVOT HIRES SPORTS MARKETING VETERAN JOSH SCHWARTZ TO LEAD BRAND SALES EFFORTS
PIVOT proudly announces the hiring of Josh Schwartz, a 22-year sports veteran, as it’s Senior Director. In joining PIVOT, Schwartz, who previously was an owner of Evolution, a sports agency, brings with him several athlete clients like soccer legend Brandi Chastain and NBA Assistant Coach and former WNBA player, Becky Hammon.
“Having the opportunity to join PIVOT and work with a group of like-minded entrepreneurial individuals is extremely exciting to me,” said Schwartz. “I’m looking forward to helping further develop the Brand Group and lend my experience in other areas. PIVOT’s current clients and offerings are top-notch and I’m elated to be part of this team.”
Prior to joining PIVOT, Schwartz worked on high profile projects and with top tier global athletes on their marketing and promotional activities.
Schwartz started working for a boutique agency, Integrated Sports International (ISI), where he helped steer the careers of Steve Young, Hakeem Olajuwon and Isaiah Thomas.
Additionally, during that time, Schwartz also worked with numerous teams on sponsorship sales and naming rights partnerships, brands for consulting and merchandising projects.
SFX Sports Group acquired ISI, where Schwartz worked on marketing efforts for the likes of David Beckham, Kobe Bryant, Andre Agassi, Andy Roddick, as well as tennis events like the US Open, and the DC ATP Tournament.
After SFX, Schwartz went on to start his own company, Evolution, where the business grew to over 75 clients. During that time, Evolution represented several Olympic Gold Medalists and formed partnerships with a multitude of brands, TV networks, and agencies. In all, Josh has worked with over 30 Olympic athletes who have collected a total of 71 medals, 44 being Gold.

Schwartz graduated from Vanderbilt University and currently resides in Mill Valley with his wife Carolyn, two kids Gavin and Henry, and his Water Dog Monty.
