PIVOT conceptualized, developed, administered, and executed a sweepstakes on behalf of ExtraMile to deepen fan engagement and drive measurable business results with app downloads and loyalty program sign ups. One of the most beneficial aspects of sports sponsorships is access to interact with an engaged loyal fanbase, in this case the Los Angeles Lakers.
We strategically leveraged IP in the agreement for the sweepstakes creative by integrating ExtraMile’s brand character, “Extra Man,” into a custom Lakers jersey, creating a powerful visual connection between the brand and the team’s loyal fanbase.
Fans entered by uploading a screenshot of the app downloaded and their loyalty program active. The winner received Los Angeles Lakers merchandise and a gift card to ExtraMile, incentivising short term engagement and long term brand affinity. ExtraMile was able to leverage the platform to include loyalty messaging in the promotion to a targeted audience to spread awareness and promote exclusive offers.
