Thank you for your interest in PIVOT. You’ve made it this far so let me tell you a little more about our agency. And when I say “our,” I mean that each member of the PIVOT team is part of the agency’s DNA and has a personal connection to its success. We aren’t working for PIVOT, we are working for each other and our success.

Our agency focuses in sponsorships of all types (entertainment, non-profit, etc.) with an emphasis in sports. We are rooted in the Bay Area sports industry, but since our establishment in 2013 we have grown to encompass much more and reach beyond our local market.

Our team cares about one another. We support each other goals, both professionally and personally; we celebrate eachothers wins; we encourage growth; and we lend each other energy. Our office is always abuzz with work and excitement. Things get crazy sometimes because we are a small agency, but that is one of our advantages. Being a close-knit team creates more opportunities for team members to be involved on clients and projects, and more opportunities for ownership.

Though we don’t have any specific openings at this time, we are always interested in meeting candidates who can contribute to our agency. Our company landscape changes quickly and we are growing rapidly, having added 3 new clients in Q4 2017 alone.

VICE PRESIDENT OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT 

PIVOT is a Bay Area sports and entertainment marketing startup making a name for itself in a fast-paced and dynamic industry. Our mission is to create innovative business-to-business opportunities and to unite brands and properties in lasting partnerships that channel the emotional energy of sports into profitable and meaningful consumer engagement.

We are looking for a qualified individual with the ambition to grow our company by providing expert management and strategy in our approach to business development through sports and entertainment property sponsorship sales.

The VP of Business Development will be a leading member of PIVOT’s Property Team, working with arenas, teams and athletes to source, negotiate and secure sponsorship agreements. This includes everything from pursuing naming rights opportunities to developing primary sponsorship portfolios for young companies. This person will be responsible for identifying new opportunities as well as supporting the growth of existing accounts. We are a nimble and growing sales team, passionate about what we do, and are looking for an individual with tantamount ambition and experience.

Responsibilities:
● Create and cultivate opportunities within existing property clients to maximize account revenue and growth
● Drive new business sponsorship sales for a growing list of PIVOT property clients, including teams, athletes, endurance events, universities, and naming rights opportunities
● Lead the search for new areas of business development for our robust clients
● Leverage existing local and national corporate relationships to identify possible sponsorship opportunities with PIVOT clients
● Cross-sell clients across multiple PIVOT services – property, brand, hospitality, etc.
● Provide regular progress reports on business development goals and new business outreach
● Achieve and surpass sales quotas across multiple clients
● Identify areas of opportunity for brand business development within property clients
● Provide updates on relevant industry events, publications, and announcements with the purpose of identifying meaningful trends, influential people and burgeoning brands
● Lead all executive-level communication with potential clients
● Directly manage accounts and work with the property team to achieve success
● Maintain detailed records of property partnership deals and commission revenue information to communicate with the accounting department

Qualifications:
● 10+ years of experience in sales and/or business development in sports marketing
● Knowledge & executive-level experience in sales, business development, negotiation, and project management
● Strong knowledge of national sponsorships, brand activation, and industry trends
● Excellent presentation, written, and oral communication skills with a distinguished presentation style
● Effective team leadership skills and the ability to mentor PIVOT team members
● Ability to communicate clearly with the CEO and agency decision-makers to create a unified approach to strategy and decisions
● Experience in organizational efficiency and operations management
● Strong network of contacts and industry connections are a must
● Experience using MS Office and Google Suite

Education & Experience:
● B.A. in sports management, business administration, communications, or a related field
● M.A. preferred, but not required
● 10+ years of sponsorship sales experience with a sports team or agency

DESIGN COORDINATOR

PIVOT is a Bay Area sports and entertainment marketing startup making a name for itself in a fast-paced and dynamic industry. Our mission is to create innovative business-to-business opportunities and to unite brands and properties in lasting partnerships that channel the emotional energy of sports into profitable and meaningful consumer engagement.

We are looking for a creative individual looking to bring their design and creative skill-set to a fast-paced and nimble environment. This individual will build on their design experience by working through a number of needs that include but are not limited to new business pitch decks, client presentations, website updates, print and digital projects.

The Design Coordinator will report to the Vice President of Brand and will be responsible for creative, designing and building all presentations needed from the PIVOT team.  This individual will oversee the consistency of all presentations and design elements that are outbound from PIVOT. The individual will be responsible for renderings, mocks and merchandise designs in addition to any other element that requires design work.

Responsibilities:

  • Report to Vice President of Brands on all projects, timelines, updates, etc.
  • Design and produce presentations (ppt and ai), print, web and social
  • Be the internal expert in the latest design and creative trends in the marketplace
  • Create mocks and renderings for property team needs
  • Lead design for internal resources that include invitations, thank you notes, gear, newsletters, email blasts, etc.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years’ experience designing presentations and creative material
  • Expert in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and PowerPoint
  • Excellent presentation, written, and oral communication skills
  • Experience in organizational efficiency
  • Experience using MS Office, Google Suite

 

Education & Experience:

  • Art or design degree
  • 1-3 years of design experience
  • Video editing capability a plus

ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

PIVOT is a Bay Area sports and entertainment marketing agency based in Walnut Creek, California. Our mission is to unite brands and properties in lasting partnerships through marketing and sponsorships that channel the emotional energy of sports into profitable and meaningful consumer engagement.

We are looking for a qualified and self-motivated individual to join our sales team as a Business Development Account Executive. This person must have experience working in a fast-paced environment and possess general knowledge of sales, sponsorship and marketing concepts. Our ideal candidate is business savvy and has a strong understanding of sponsorship sales as it applies to brand marketing. This person is an effective communicator with a clear focus on an end objective and possesses the technical skills and multi-tasking capabilities to efficiently work in a start-up environment. In the advertised role, the candidate will have the benefit of working closely with, and learning from, seasoned professionals who have worked with some of the most notable sports franchises in the country.

Responsibilities:

  • To work with the PIVOT Sales Team in identifying potential sponsorship opportunities for existing and potential clients

The VP of Premium Sales & Hospitality will lead PIVOT’s new hospitality division, working with arenas, teams and
exclusive events to source, negotiate and sell corporate hospitality agreements. This includes
everything from corporate suites at the leading venues, to individual tickets, to exclusive access
to entertainment events nationally. This person will be responsible for identifying new
opportunities as well as supporting the growth of existing accounts. We are a nimble and

Responsibilities:

    • Actively lead and engage in the day to day sales process of developing new ticketing,
      suite and VIP hospitality clients
    • Create and cultivate opportunities within existing hospitality clients to maximize account

    • Build a robust sales pipeline through establishing and growing relationships with key
      corporate decision makers of local, regional, and national companies
    • Grow hospitality revenue through the acquisition of new ticket, suite and experience
      offerings
