PIVOT Agency to Sponsor Leukemia Lymphoma Society Light The Night Walk VIP Reception FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE PIVOT Agency continues its support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) as the sponsor and host of the VIP reception taking place prior to the 2018 annual East Bay LLS Light The Night Walk. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light The Night Walk helps fund treatments that are saving the lives of patients today. LLS is making cures happen by providing patient support services, advocating for lifesaving treatments and pioneering promising cancer research. Each year friends, families and coworkers form teams to raise money in support of this mission. The involvement with Light the Night marks PIVOT’s second major campaign. In 2017 Ben Shapiro, PIVOT’s founder and CEO, was named LLS Bay Area Man of the Year after his team raised almost $150,000 for blood cancer research in honor of his father, Michael Shapiro. Just weeks before the 10-week fundraising effort kicked off Shapiro lost his father who passed from Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).

“What the LLS is doing is changing lives,” Shapiro said. “Even though my father lost his battle, I want to continue to passionately and aggressively lead campaigns that raise money for the research needed to cure blood cancer. Sometimes we get so caught up in our day-to-day lives and our work that we forget what’s important. Joining LLS for the second year in a row helps me continue to honor my father and remind me that life is precious and giving back is not just something that’s nice to do, it’s something that we all must do for those that need a helping hand.” PIVOT’s VIP reception for Light The Night will be held on October 13, 2018 at 1515 Restaurant and Lounge in Walnut Creek, Ca. before the walk. The reception will feature a silent auction of unique sports memorabilia that PIVOT is gathering from local and national sports teams and icons.
