SF Unicorns Sign Star Ravichandran Ashwin in Landmark Move

PIVOT client the San Francisco Unicorns have made a historic addition to their roster, signing Indian cricket legend Ravichandran Ashwin for the 2026 Cognizant Major League Cricket season.
The move marks a major milestone for both the franchise and the league, as Ashwin becomes the first-ever Indian-capped player to compete in Major League Cricket. A World Cup winner and one of the top five wicket-takers in IPL history, Ashwin brings elite experience, leadership, and global recognition to the Bay Area.
Known for his world-class spin bowling and tactical acumen, Ashwin is expected to make an immediate impact on and off the pitch while strengthening the Unicorns’ connection with the Bay Area’s passionate South Asian community.
The signing underscores the continued growth of the San Francisco Unicorns and Major League Cricket, as the league attracts top international talent and expands its global footprint.
